Thank you for considering Great Oldbury Primary Academy for your child. We understand that choosing a school is a very important decision. Before doing so, we strongly recommend a visit to one of our other schools in our trust for a personal tour with a member of our GLA leadership team or for one of our scheduled open mornings, details of which will be published on the school’s Facebook page and website. Either way, you will be warmly welcomed and will be able to see what happens on a day-to-day basis, talk about how you could be involved, and find out how children learn through our exciting and engaging curriculum.
Great Oldbury Primary Academy has a set Published Admission Number. This is the number we are obliged to admit into each year group. This number is agreed with Gloucestershire County Council and is currently 30 pupils each year. Although the Trust board has responsibility for deciding on admissions, the Local Authority will co-ordinate all admissions in its area and will communicate all admission decisions to parents.
The Gloucestershire School Admissions website provides thorough details about applying for a school place, ranging from general booklets and guidance, the appeals process and school transport when you don't live within walking distance of the school.
If you wish to apply for a Reception place for 2022, please visit the Gloucestershire County Council admissions page which will outline how you apply online.
